About the Event
In 1300, the medieval knight went to war dressed in head-to-toe mail armour. By 1550 there were specialized suits of armour for foot combat, mounted combat, and jousting. They even had "bullet-proof" breastplates. This short talk will walk you through the evolution of European armor in the 14th to 16th centuries, with a focus on it's impact on the martial arts.
